In environments with complex electromagnetic interference, shielded network cable is preferred as its internal structure can effectively reduce external interference, thus is allows signals to be transmitted normally. Meanwhile, its internal aluminum foil layer can block the electromagnetic leakage, preventing information from being eavesdropped, and it does not emit interference signals that affect other cables.
In practical applications, it can be divided into the following two categories.
① Single shielded network cable
There is a layer of aluminum foil inside, which can dramatically reduce electromagnetic radiation.
② Double shielded network cable
There are a layer of aluminum foil inside the twisted pair, together with a layer of metal braided mesh, which can reduced electromagnetic interference dramatically. It suits for high-speed network and high confidentiality signal transmission.
Shielded network cable requires the entire system to be made of shielded materials, including shielded cables, shielded crystal heads, and shielded equipment etc. the copper wire insides the shielded network cable, also is known as the grounding wire, adopts shielded RJ45 crystal head, and requires standards grounding methods for which can better shield external signals.
